Senior Interior Designer
Job Summary
We are a progressive design firm committed to creating timeless, effective and functional solutions, products and workspaces for African brands and businesses guaranteed to improve productivity. We are currently in the process of adding to our team reliable and competent professionals who will work with us to ensure the seamless and timely execution of our projects, (construction and interior fit-out: renovations and remodelling spaces) from inception to conception. This year however, we are making a significant changes to the way we work, and the services we deliver. Job Description/Requirements
The Role
a. Technical
- Bring great, fresh ideas to the team that are project-appropriate
- Articulate why concepts work to the team using sound, logical reasoning
- Produce concept boards of images for feedback and approval from the Design Lead and Clients, which capture the intended look and attitude, and reflect branding and positioning with architecture, color, finish materials, lighting etc
- Produce necessary presentation drawings and construction documents
- Select in-budget materials and finishes that support the concepts
- Ensure design specifications align to safety standards and government regulations
b. Client Skills
- Communicate effectively and clearly (both written and verbal)
c. Reporting
- Report to the Design Lead (and when necessary, other team members) with updates, constraints and progress of work
d. Personal Traits
- Collaboration and teamwork: work well with other team members and liaise with other consultants on projects in order to achieve the desired results.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills
- Creativity and innovation: must possess a ‘questioning mind’, and always be open to searching out and implementing new ideas

Requirements
- Proven experience in designing commercial and/or retail experiences
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or any other relevant/ related design field
- Minimum of 4 years work experience in Interior Design.
- Good knowledge of BIM CAD software- preferably Revit Architecture
- Good knowledge of rendering software- preferably 3ds Max, Sketchup - Ability to pay great attention to detail
