Job summary
The Senior F5 Engineer (Specialist) will be responsible for the strategic design, deployment, optimization, and continuous management of our enterprise Application Delivery Controller (ADC) infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring maximum uptime, robust security, and seamless traffic management across core enterprise applications using F5 Networks technologies. The ideal candidate blends deep core networking expertise with modern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) automation practices.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Traffic Management: Design, implement, and maintain advanced F5 Local Traffic
- Manager (LTM) configurations, including virtual servers, pools, profiles, health monitors, and SNAT pools.
- Global Traffic Management: Architect and manage F5 DNS topologies to facilitate data center failovers, wide-IP configurations, and intelligent geo-location traffic routing.
- Scripting & Customization: Develop, test, and troubleshoot advanced iRules and iApps to achieve granular control over application traffic, custom HTTP header manipulations, and security overrides.
- SSL/TLS Management: Oversee enterprise SSL/TLS decryption and offloading strategies, certificate lifecycles, and cryptographic profile optimization on F5 appliances.
- Administer and support F5 BIG-IP platforms, including: Local Traffic Manager (LTM), DNS (GTM), Access Policy Manager (APM), Advanced Web Application Firewall (AWAF), and SSL Orchestrator (where applicable)
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex performance, availability, and security issues.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for F5-related incidents and problems.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Lead F5 implementation, migration, upgrade, and optimization projects.
- Develop detailed implementation plans, testing procedures, and rollback strategies.
- Participate in change advisory processes and ensure the successful execution of changes.
- Coordinate technical activities with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Implement and maintain web application security policies.
- Support the deployment and tuning of WAF security controls.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.

- Years of experience in networking, application delivery, or cybersecurity environments.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing F5 technologies.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale F5 implementations.
- Experience working in mission-critical production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with: F5 BIG-IP LTM, F5 DNS (GTM), F5 APM, F5 AWAF/WAF
