This role ensures that all operations, transactions, and strategic initiatives comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Compliance Program Leadership:

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve enterprise-wide compliance programs across all business lines.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and update compliance frameworks in line with evolving laws and industry standards.


Regulatory Oversight & Engagement:

  • Ensure adherence to all applicable local and international regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with regulators and oversee regulatory communications, reviews, and examinations.


Risk Assessment & Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance and regulatory risks across operations.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments, audits, and gap analyses.


Policy Development & Training:

  • Develop, review, and enforce compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Lead compliance training and awareness programs for employees and management.


Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare periodic compliance reports for senior management and the Board.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of compliance activities, findings, and remediation actions.


Investigations & Enforcement:

  • Lead and oversee internal investigations related to compliance breaches or regulatory concerns.
  • Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions, ensuring timely follow-up.


Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Provide ongoing compliance advisory support to executive leadership and business teams.
  • Communicate regulatory expectations, updates, and compliance obligations across the organization.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • ACAMS certification is compulsory.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.


Location: Remote (Lagos).


Remuneration: NGN 700,000
