The Senior Associate, General and Shared Services Accountant will play a vital role in enforcing financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and performance optimization across the Tenece finance ecosystem. This role is responsible for financial management, shared services accounting, cost, revenue oversight, and profitability tracking

Responsibilities:
Shared Services Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage THL service fee schedules and shared services invoices.
- Issue shared services invoices and monitor receivables for timely collections.
- Ensure accurate cost allocations, compliance with tax regulations, and timely collections.
- Track SSC revenue, cash inflows, and profitability; provide actionable insights on trends and variances.
Accounting & Financial Operations:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including fixed assets, prepayments, and legacy balances.
- Prepare client account statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Ensure alignment of ERP records with the financial schedule
- Compliance & Risk Oversight
- Ensure timely VAT, WHT, and other statutory compliance.
- Support statutory reporting, audits, and regulatory reviews.
- Assist in risk mitigation strategies to prevent financial penalties.
Financial Planning & Reporting:
- Support the team lead to deliver on monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports with KPIs, trend analysis, and actionable recommendations.
- Support budgeting, consolidation, and variance analysis to optimize SSC efficiency.
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement:
- Provide support and guidance to junior finance team members, supporting their development and performance.
- Drive process improvements to enhance SSC operations and financial contribution.
- Promote accountability, collaboration, and high standards across the finance team.
- Monitor SSC operational profitability, performance metrics, and alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent certification (mandatory).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in general accounting oversight, financial reporting, audit coordination, tax management, and ERP-based accounting.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and statutory reporting.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS, GL, reconciliation, fixed assets, prepayments).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel/Power BI.
- Leadership and team development capability.
- Strategic thinking with an eye for operational efficiency
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High sense of responsibility, accountability, and integrity.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Timeliness and accuracy of shared services billing and collections.
- SSC revenue recovery vs. target.
- Accuracy and completeness of GL reconciliations and statutory reports.
- Budget variance analysis and cost optimization delivered.
- Audit compliance and absence of regulatory penalties.
- Team performance metrics (e.g., productivity, accuracy, adherence to process).
