- Implement and enforce all security protocols to protect residents, staff, valuables, and assets of the Hall of Residence.
- Conduct daily and routine inspections within and around the residence to ensure safety and compliance with security standards.
- Urgently investigate all security breaches or incidents and submit timely, detailed reports to Hall Management for prompt action.
- Carry out weekly, monthly, and annual security audits, providing management with findings and recommendations.
- Enforce Hall of Residence rules and regulations in relation to security and safety.
- Monitor entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access to the residence.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of the security department, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to security personnel within the hall.
- Liaise with external security agencies and law enforcement when necessary.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all incidents, patrol logs, and security operations.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies and maintain a calm, professional approach under pressure
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a security officer, guard, or security supervisor, preferably in residential or institutional facilities.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, protocols, and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to conduct investigations and prepare accurate, detailed reports.
- Leadership and supervisory skills to manage security staff and coordinate department activities.
- High level of integrity, vigilance, and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform patrols and respond quickly to incidents.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, staff, and management.
- Basic knowledge of security systems, surveillance tools, and access control procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
