Security Officer

• Implement and enforce all security protocols to protect residents, staff, valuables, and assets of the Hall of Residence.
• Conduct daily and routine inspections within and around the residence to ensure safety and compliance with security standards.
• Urgently investigate all security breaches or incidents and submit timely, detailed reports to Hall Management for prompt action.
• Carry out weekly, monthly, and annual security audits, providing management with findings and recommendations.
• Enforce Hall of Residence rules and regulations in relation to security and safety.
• Monitor entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access to the residence.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of the security department, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to security personnel within the hall.
• Liaise with external security agencies and law enforcement when necessary.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all incidents, patrol logs, and security operations.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies and maintain a calm, professional approach under pressure

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a security officer, guard, or security supervisor, preferably in residential or institutional facilities.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, protocols, and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to conduct investigations and prepare accurate, detailed reports.
• Leadership and supervisory skills to manage security staff and coordinate department activities.
• High level of integrity, vigilance, and attention to detail.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform patrols and respond quickly to incidents.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, staff, and management.
• Basic knowledge of security systems, surveillance tools, and access control procedures.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
