The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of people, property, and premises. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the premises, including visitors, staff, and vehicles
- Patrol the property regularly to prevent theft, vandalism, or other security breaches
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents and report them to management or authorities
- Maintain a visible presence to deter potential security threats
- Check and ensure that all security equipment (CCTV, alarms, locks) are functioning properly
- Enforce company rules, regulations, and safety policies
- Prepare and maintain accurate daily logs and incident reports
- Assist in emergency procedures, such as evacuations or first aid when necessary
- Liaise with local law enforcement or emergency services as required
Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE; additional security or safety training is an advantage
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong observation and alertness skills
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergencies
- Physically fit and able to perform patrols or respond to incidents
- Reliable, disciplined, and punctual
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of basic first aid or emergency procedures is an advantage
