Security Officer

The Security Officer is responsible for protecting people, property, and assets by maintaining a safe and secure environment. The role involves monitoring the premises, controlling access, conducting regular patrols, responding to security incidents, and enforcing company security policies, all while delivering professional and courteous service.

Responsibilities:
- Protect company premises, employees, visitors, and assets from theft, damage, and unauthorized access.
- Monitor and control entry and exit points to ensure only authorized persons gain access.
- Conduct routine patrols of the premises to identify and address security risks.
- Monitor CCTV cameras and security systems where applicable.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, accidents, and security incidents.
- Prepare accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures.
- Assist visitors and employees with security-related inquiries.
- Report suspicious activities, safety hazards, or breaches to management immediately.
- Work collaboratively with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an SSCE certificate
- Previous experience in a security role is preferred.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to stand or patrol for extended periods.
- Strong observation and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergencies.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response.
- No criminal record and must be of good character.
