Role Description

We are looking for a data driven and creative SEO Specialist to improve our website visibility, increase organic traffic, and optimize user acquisition across our marketplace. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience with technical SEO, content optimization, and growth strategies tailored for e-commerce or classified platforms.

Qualifications

Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic rankings and traffic
Conduct keyword research aligned with marketplace categories (products, services, locations)
Optimize website content, product listings, and category pages for search engines
Perform technical SEO audits (site speed, indexing, crawlability, mobile optimization)
Collaborate with developers to implement SEO best practices
Monitor and analyze website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO platforms
Build high quality backlinks and manage off page SEO campaigns
Optimize local SEO for Nigerian markets and location based searches
Stay updated on search engine algorithm changes and industry trends

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or related field
2-4+ years of proven experience in SEO (preferably e-commerce or marketplace platforms)
Strong knowledge of on page, off page, and technical SEO
Experience with tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar
Understanding of HTML, CSS, and website structure is a plus
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
