Job descriptions & requirements
- Plan and deliver engaging science lessons in line with the approved curriculum.
- Prepare lesson notes, schemes of work, and instructional materials.
- Teach scientific concepts, theories, and practical applications effectively.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and practical demonstrations while ensuring safety procedures are followed.
- Assess and evaluate students' academic performance through tests, assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, progress, and performance.
- Identify students' learning needs and provide appropriate academic support.
- Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry among students.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a conducive learning environment.
- Utilize modern teaching methods and educational technology to enhance learning.
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
- Participate in curriculum development and review activities.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding students' progress.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development programs, and school events.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and inventory of laboratory equipment and teaching resources.
- Mentor and guide students in science-related projects, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
- Adhere to school policies, educational standards, and child protection guidelines.
Requirements:
- A minimum of an NCE in Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Proven track record of teaching Math, Physics, and Chemistry at the secondary school level.
- Must live in or be willing to relocate to Abule-Egba immediately.
