Science Teacher

Responsibilities:

Core Teaching Duties:

• Plan and deliver daily lessons aligned with school and national curricula.
• Explain complex scientific theories using visual aids, lectures, and technology.
• Adapt instruction styles to support both struggling and advanced students.

Laboratory and Safety Management:

• Organize and direct hands-on science experiments and practical work.
• Teach proper handling of scientific tools, equipment, and chemical substances.
• Enforce strict laboratory safety rules to protect all students.

Assessment and Administration:

• Design quizzes, tests, and homework projects to measure learning.
• Grade student assignments and maintain accurate performance records.
• Communicate student progress regularly with parents and school staff.

Mentorship and Development:

• Guide students through the steps of the scientific method.
• Encourage curiosity and support science fairs or extracurricular projects.
• Counsel learners interested in pursuing STEM career paths.

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification of a BSc/B.Ed.
• 1 year of previous experience in a similar role.

Remuneration: NGN 70,000
