Job summary
Dates & Events Ltd. is looking for a high-performing Sales Team Lead to lead our inside sales function and build a disciplined, conversion-focused telesales team. The role goes beyond supervising calls. You will be responsible for ensuring that enquiries are captured, followed up, nurtured and converted into confirmed business opportunities.

Responsibilities:
Telesales & Revenue Generation:
- Lead and supervise the Telesales and Reservations team.
- Drive achievement of enquiry conversion and revenue targets.
- Develop telesales campaigns for corporate and social events.
- Drive outbound sales initiatives.
- Reactivate dormant clients and prospects.
- Monitor individual and team productivity.
- Build a high-performance sales culture.
Lead Management:
- Ensure every enquiry from phone, email, website, social media and walk-in channels is captured accurately.
- Maintain a structured lead journey from enquiry to confirmed booking.
- Ensure quotations and proposals are followed up systematically.
- Monitor ageing leads and implement recovery strategies.
- Prepare weekly pipeline reports.
Reservations:
- Oversee venue reservations and booking processes.
- Ensure booking calendars remain accurate and updated.
- Coordinate with Venue Coordinators to prevent booking conflicts.
- Verify booking documentation and payment requirements.
- Ensure bookings comply with company policies.
Sales Performance & Conversion:
- Improve enquiry-to-booking conversion rates.
- Monitor quotation turnaround time.
- Develop effective telesales scripts and best practices.
- Analyse lost business and reasons for non-conversion.
- Recommend initiatives that improve sales effectiveness.
CRM & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate CRM records.
- Track customer interactions and follow-ups.
- Segment customer databases for targeted campaigns.
- Monitor enquiry volumes, booking trends and conversion rates.
- Prepare sales forecasts and performance reports.
Team Leadership & Coaching:
- Train, coach and develop Telesales Officers.
- Conduct regular coaching and performance reviews.
- Set individual targets and monitor achievement.
- Build a motivated, disciplined and customer-focused team.
- Identify performance gaps and implement improvement plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management or related discipline.
- 2–3 years of experience in telesales or call center operations (mandatory)
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role
- Strong ability to train, coach, and develop team members
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills
- Strong leadership and people management abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office
- Must reside in Ikeja or nearby areas (proximity is key
- Experience in events, hospitality, hotels, airlines, real estate or other service industries is an advantage.
