Job summary
A customer-focused Sales Assistant responsible for supporting daily sales operations by assisting customers, promoting products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The role involves maintaining product displays, processing sales transactions, and supporting inventory management while helping the business achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product enquiries
- Promote and sell products to customers while meeting sales targets
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems or manual records
- Maintain clean, organised, and well-stocked product displays
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or damaged goods
- Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate when necessary
- Assist with pricing, labelling, and merchandising of products
- Support daily opening and closing procedures
- Build positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business
Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE (OND or higher qualification is an advantage)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-service oriented with a friendly and professional attitude
- Basic numeracy skills and ability to handle cash accurately
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous sales or retail experience is an advantage but not mandatory
