Job Summary

We are looking for a versatile and tech-savvy sales engineer to assist with the selling of engineering software. The Sales Engineer's responsibilities include maintaining extensive knowledge of the products and processes and assisting with closing sales where technical expertise may be required to fit client's needs.

  • Minimum Qualification : Degree
  • Experience Level : Senior level
  • Experience Length : 5 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and developing technical presentations to explain our company's products or services to customers.
  • Collaborating with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
  • Generating high-quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, completing sales, and arranging deliveries.
  • Researching, developing, and modifying products to meet customers' technical requirements and needs.
  • Helping customers who have problems with installed products and recommending improved or upgraded version.
  • Soliciting and logging client feedback and evaluating the data to create new sales and marketing strategies to target customers.
  • Preparing tender document and participating in tendering processes .
  • Setting and achieving sales goals and quotas.
  • Training other members of the sales team on the technical aspects of the company's products and services.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Reliable technical background
  • Experience in sales and the technology field.
  • Good marketing skills and business sense
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills.
  • The ability to relate technical information to nontechnical customers.
  • Analytical ability with excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Presentation skills and ability to convey product value
  • Good leadership and teamwork skills.
  • High-level Organizational skills for maintaining sales territory
  • Self-confidence to support persuasion and sales efforts.

 

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in either civil or mechanical engineering. MBA will give you an edge.
  • Certification in Procurement and Purchasing will be an added advantage
  • A good knowledge of engineering software Sales
  • Proficient in the use of CAD Software- Certification will be an added advantage
