Sales Development Representative
Job summary
We are hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive employer acquisition for our Direct Hire recruitment service. This role focuses on outbound sales and physical business outreach, targeting startups, SMEs, agencies, and growing companies with active hiring needs.

Responsibilities:
Employer Prospecting & Physical Outreach
- Identify businesses actively hiring for roles such as sales, customer support, operations, admin, and non-coding tech roles
- Conduct physical outreach by visiting offices, co-working spaces, and business hubs
- Attend networking events, HR meetups, and startup gatherings to generate employer leads
- Build a strong employer pipeline for Direct Hire recruitment
Sales Outreach & Lead Qualification
- Execute outbound outreach via calls, WhatsApp, emails, and LinkedIn
- Speak directly with Founders, HR Managers, Operations Leads, and Business Owners
- Qualify employer hiring needs (role type, urgency, budget, timeline)
- Position Primote Africa’s Direct Hire process and value proposition clearly
- Book discovery calls or close Direct Hire agreements where applicable
Direct Hire Sales Execution
- Educate employers on how Primote Africa handles sourcing, vetting, interviews, and reference checks
- Clearly explain Direct Hire pricing and success fees
- Address objections around cost, timelines, and candidate quality
- Ensure smooth handoff to the recruitment team after deal confirmation
Relationship Management & Follow-Up
- Maintain consistent follow-ups with warm and cold prospects
- Build long-term employer relationships for repeat hiring
- Re-engage past clients for new hiring needs
Reporting & Collaboration
- Track outreach activities, leads, and conversions
- Submit weekly reports on meetings booked, deals closed, and revenue generated
- Share employer insights and market feedback with the recruitment team
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, recruitment sales, business development, or field sales
- Proven comfort with physical outreach and face-to-face selling
- Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills
- Ability to sell professional services (not just products)
- Target-driven and comfortable working with revenue goals
- Basic CRM and sales tracking experience
- Resides in a major business city
- Experience selling recruitment, HR, staffing, or outsourcing services
- Understanding of hiring processes and employer pain points
- Existing network of founders, HR professionals, or business owners
- Startup or agency sales experience
- Confident and articulate communicator
- Relationship builder with strong follow-up discipline
- Resilient and persistent in outbound sales
- Professional, presentable, and credible in physical meetings
