Job summary

We are seeking a results-driven Sales & Business Development Executive to drive room revenue and occupancy through corporate accounts, group bookings, long-stay business, and hotel buyouts.This role is suited to a proactive salesperson with strong field experience, disciplined pricing judgment, and the ability to close business while operating within approved commercial frameworks.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Corporate & Business Development:

  • Identify, approach, and onboard corporate clients including companies, NGOs, government agencies, contractors, and project teams.
  • Build and manage long-term corporate relationships to drive repeat bookings.
  • Present and negotiate within approved corporate rate structures.

Group Bookings & Buyouts:

  • Source and manage group bookings (10 rooms and above).
  • Support negotiations for long stays, event-linked stays, and partial or full hotel buyouts.
  • Work with management to structure group pricing based on volume, length of stay, and seasonality.

Walk-In & On-Site Conversion:

  • Actively support Front Desk in converting walk-in inquiries into confirmed bookings.
  • Upsell room categories and extended stays where appropriate.

Market Intelligence:

  • Conduct regular field visits to offices, project sites, and corporate hubs.
  • Gather competitor and market intelligence and report actionable insights.

Reporting & Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, accounts, bookings, and revenue generated.
  • Submit weekly activity reports and monthly performance summaries.
  • Operate strictly within approved pricing and approval frameworks.

Performance Targets:

  • Monthly contribution to hotel occupancy growth.
  • Number of active corporate accounts onboarded.
  • Room nights and revenue generated from: Corporate bookings, Group bookings, Buyouts
  • Walk-in and corporate inquiry conversion rate.
  • Full compliance with pricing and approval guidelines.


Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience in hotel sales, hospitality sales, or B2B sales.
  • Proven ability to close corporate and group bookings.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Field-oriented, proactive, and target-driven.
  • Familiarity with the Abuja corporate and hospitality market is an advantage.
  • Strong B2B and corporate sales skills preferably within hospitality or service industries
  • Proven ability to identify, approach, and close corporate and group bookings
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to operate within approved pricing and discount frameworks
  • Field-oriented mindset with confidence in cold visits and client follow-ups
  • Strong reporting discipline with ability to track leads, bookings, and revenue
  • Target-driven, self-motivated, and results-focused
  • Good understanding of the Abuja corporate and hospitality market is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic CRM/reporting tools


Benefits:

  • Remuneration: NGN 300,000 per month (fixed)
  • Performance-Based Bonuses & Commission: In addition to base salary, the role includes structured incentives linked to performance:

Occupancy-Based Bonuses:

  • Bonuses are triggered when monthly hotel occupancy targets are met or exceeded.
  • Higher occupancy performance unlocks higher bonus tiers.

Corporate Account Incentives:

  • The commission on new corporate accounts was successfully onboarded and generating bookings.
  • Incentives tied to first-month revenue from new corporate clients.
  • Group & Buyout Incentives: Commission on confirmed group bookings and approved buyouts, subject to pricing compliance and management approval.
  • Total monthly earnings increase with performance.
  • All bonuses and commissions are subject to approved rate structures and management sign-off.
