Job summary
The Sales Assistant is responsible for checkout and payment processing at the pharmacy. This role focuses on accurate billing, customer transactions, and front-desk support.

Responsibilities:
Till & Payment Operations
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
- Process customer payments (cash, POS, transfers).
- Issue receipts and ensure correct billing for all transactions.
- Handle cash responsibly and balance the till at shift close.
Customer Interaction
- Receive customers at the checkout point politely and professionally.
- Direct customers to the pharmacist or pharmacy assistant for product or medication inquiries.
- Manage customer queues efficiently to reduce waiting time.
Record & Transaction Accuracy
- Ensure correct pricing and quantities are entered at checkout.
- Report pricing discrepancies or system issues to management.
- Assist in stock reconciliation from the system when required.
- Maintain transaction records as required.\
Compliance & Conduct
- Follow cash-handling procedures and internal control policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer transactions.
- Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an OND certificate.
- Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills.
- Attention to detail and integrity.
- Good communication skills.
- Proximity to Ogba, Agege, and Ikeja environs is key.
- Prior cashier experience is an advantage.
