An EPC company that operates in the Oil and Gas and FMCG industry, is currently recruiting for the position of Sales & Tendering Engineer

Job Description/Requirements

  • To review customer documents and develop the tender proposal basis for the project.
  • Organize and coordinate activities and timings of input from stakeholders.
  • Define and write the tender proposal to the customer. This will include the commercial scope, deliverables (drawings, equipment etc) schedule with input to the technical proposal prepared by engineering team.
  • Coordinate equipment key equipment specifications for Procurement to engage with supply chain.
  • Coordinate supply chain requirements with Procurement to support the estimating engineers so they can develop high accuracy cost basis for each proposal (95%+ pre-contract costs Technical evaluation of quotations from supply chain

  • Support Sales during negotiations.
  • On successful contract award, prepare all the necessary handover documentation and in conjunction with Projects, hand over the project in a controlled and professional manner ensuring any 'loose ends' are completed.
  • Then provide ongoing 'prior knowledge' support to Projects once the project is launched.
  • Perform a Lessons Learnt exercise after each proposal to share and agree Best Practice within the team.
  • Keeping up to date with current project designs by liaising with the Engineering teams and using this knowledge to ensure our future offers reflect current and best practice across all engineering disciplines.
  • Ensuring safe and economic design is satisfied and striving for continuous improvement in design.
  • ¬†Mainly an office-based role but can include overseas visits to Clients, Sites, Suppliers and other locations as required to support the business needs as instructed, including discussions on proposals/solutions.
  • Promote and maintain a culture of openness, honesty, commitment and continuous improvement.
  • Actively support the company's Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and other policies and procedures.
  • Actively seek to anticipate and mitigate problems/difficulties.
  • Ensuring good housekeeping practices are adopted in accordance with current policies.
  • Resolving any issues and support in other areas of expertise to improve / reinforce client image with customers.
  • Involvement in the completion of all relevant reports.
  • Participate in planning meetings (internal and external) to ensure activities are performed to required standard and timescales with stakeholders and resolve issues arising.
  • Participate in the Continual Improvement Process (CIP) by providing feedback from vessel or factory attendance using RPI's (Requests for Process Improvements).
