Job Summary
The Safety Officer will be responsible throughout the project for ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines. To advise on safety measures, conduct risk assessments, and enforce preventative measures. The role involves promoting a safe workplace, providing training, and investigating incidents to improve overall safety.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections of work areas.
- Conduct Safety briefing every day before commencing work.
- Implement and enforce HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) policies.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment by all personnel.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and safety violations, implementing corrective actions.
- Provide HSE training and toolbox talks to project personnels.
- Submit daily safety reports, incident reports, and a final safety performance report.
Requirements:
- OSHA or NEBOSH certification or equivalent local certification.
- 5+ years offshore safety experience.
- Knowledge of port/shipyard safety protocols and risk management.
Additional skills:
- Experience with HSE Management Systems (ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001).
- Familiarity with Permit-To-Work systemsand safety case regimes.
- Prior experience in Special Periodic Surveys (SPS) projects for Jack-Up Lift Boats or similar offshore units.
- Experience with working in a port/shipyard – familiar with the protocols/procedures in a port/shipyard.
