Restaurant Kitchen Assistant
Job summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking kitchen assistant to support daily kitchen operations by assisting cooks and chefs with food preparation, cleaning and maintaining kitchen organization. The ideal candidates should be able to work efficiently in a fast paced environment while maintaining hygiene and food safety standards.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities :
- Assist cooks and chefs with basic food preparation tasks.
- Attention to detail and ability to work as instructed.
- Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
- Dispose of waste according to hygiene standards.
- Assist with receiving and organizing food supplies.
Operational Duties:
- Ensure workstations are clean and organized at all times.
- Follow kitchen instructions and assigned tasks efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining a smooth kitchen workflow.
- Support opening and closing kitchen procedures.
Food Safety & Hygiene:
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Maintain personal hygiene and proper grooming standards.
- Use kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food items.
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Good time management and attention to cleanliness
- Minimum SSCE
Remuneration: NGN 70,000
