Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with established clinical standards and protocols.
- Assess patients by taking medical history, measuring vital signs, and identifying healthcare needs.
- Administer medications, injections, immunisations, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
- Perform wound dressing, first aid, and other basic nursing procedures.
- Educate patients on medication use, disease prevention, healthy lifestyles, and treatment adherence.
- Monitor patients’ conditions and report significant changes to the appropriate healthcare provider.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and documentation.
- Ensure proper infection prevention and control measures are followed at all times.
- Assist pharmacists in delivering patient-centred pharmaceutical care and health screening services.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies within the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and adequate stock levels within the nursing and treatment areas.
- Participate in health awareness campaigns, community outreach programmes, and patient education initiatives organised by the pharmacy.
- Comply with all company policies, nursing regulations, and ethical standards.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management that are within the scope of professional nursing practice.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) practising licence.
- Minimum of a Diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution.
- Minimum of 1 year of post-qualification clinical experience (community pharmacy, outpatient clinic, or hospital experience is an advantage).
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational and time management abilities.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with electronic health records is an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
