Job Summary

The Registered Midwife provides skilled, professional, and compassionate maternity care to women throughout pregnancy, labour, delivery, and the postpartum period. The role ensures safe maternal and neonatal outcomes in line with established clinical standards and regulatory guidelines

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to mothers and newborns.
Monitor mothers and babies during labour and ensure timely escalation when necessary.
Conduct safe delivery practices in accordance with clinical protocols.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Offer breastfeeding support, newborn care guidance, and postpartum education.
Maintain accurate maternity records and ensure proper documentation.
Identify high-risk pregnancies and collaborate with obstetricians when required.
Provide family planning counselling and reproductive health education.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
Offer emotional support and maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Requirements:

Registered Midwife with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council license.
Certificate, Diploma, or B.Sc. in Midwifery.
Proven experience in labour and delivery, antenatal, and postnatal care.
Strong knowledge of maternal and neonatal health practices.
Ability to remain calm and efficient in emergencies.
Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
