Recruitment Officer
Job summary
We are seeking a proactive, organized, and people-oriented Recruitment Officer to manage the end-to-end recruitment process and help the organization attract and hire qualified candidates. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing candidates, screening applications, conducting interviews, coordinating recruitment activities.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Manage the full recruitment cycle from vacancy sourcing to candidate placement.
- Source qualified candidates through job boards, social media, professional networks, referrals, and recruitment databases.
- Review CVs and applications to identify candidates who meet job requirements.
- Conduct phone, virtual, and in-person interviews and candidate assessments.
- Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers.
- Maintain an up-to-date database and talent pool of qualified candidates.
- Prepare and post accurate job advertisements across relevant recruitment platforms.
- Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process and provide timely updates.
- Conduct reference and background checks where required.
- Prepare candidate profiles and recruitment reports for hiring managers.
- Build and maintain relationships with candidates, clients, and hiring managers.
- Track recruitment metrics, including vacancies, candidate pipelines, interviews, and placements.
- Ensure recruitment activities comply with company policies and applicable employment regulations.
- Participate in career fairs, recruitment events, and employer branding activities.
- Assist with onboarding activities for successful candidates.
- Perform other recruitment and HR-related duties assigned by management.
- Minimum of an HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Proven years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or a similar HR role.
- Strong knowledge of candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection processes.
- Experience using job boards, LinkedIn, social media, and applicant tracking systems.
- Excellent communication, interviewing, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Good understanding of HR practices and employment procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet recruitment targets.
