Job summary

We are seeking a qualified, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Radiographer/Sonographer to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and assist in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, ultrasound scans, and other imaging examinations as required.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain examination processes to ensure comfort and cooperation.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic and ultrasound equipment safely and effectively.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by physicians and specialists.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation protection, infection control, and patient safety standards.
  • Review patient histories and imaging requests to ensure appropriate examinations are conducted.
  • Assist radiologists and other healthcare professionals during specialized imaging procedures when required.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging reports, and examination documentation.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report faults or maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and confidentiality of patient information.
  • Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and best practices.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, professional ethics, and regulatory requirements.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiography or a related field.
  • Valid professional license and registration with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria.
  • Proven years of experience in radiography, sonography, or diagnostic imaging services.
  • Proficiency in operating ultrasound and radiographic imaging equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and imaging techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and image quality assessment skills.
  • Strong communication and patient care abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
