A Public Health Advisor provides professional guidance and support to individuals, communities, organizations, and institutions on disease prevention, health promotion, and healthy living.

Responsibilities:
- Provide professional health education and preventive health guidance to clients and community members.
- Conduct basic health and wellness assessments and identify potential health-risk factors.
- Educate individuals on healthy nutrition, lifestyle choices, hygiene, disease prevention, and wellness practices.
- Support the planning and execution of health screenings, outreach programs, seminars, and awareness campaigns.
- Promote preventive healthcare services, health checks, and wellness programs.
- Follow up with clients to encourage healthy lifestyle changes and continued engagement with recommended services.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, health education activities, and referrals.
- Refer clients to qualified medical professionals or healthcare facilities when further assessment or treatment is required.
- Build relationships with organizations, communities, employers, and healthcare stakeholders.
- Participate in public health campaigns and initiatives aimed at improving community health outcomes.
- Stay informed about relevant public health trends, preventive-care practices, and health policies.
- Prepare basic reports on health activities, client engagement, outreach programs, and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Public Health, Community Health, Health Education, Nursing, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of preventive healthcare and health promotion.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to educate and engage people from diverse backgrounds.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic digital and reporting skills.
