Job summary

The Psychiatric Clinic Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of Kings Psychiatry’s outpatient mental-health clinic. This role ensures smooth clinic workflow, staff coordination, regulatory compliance, patient experience quality, and administrative efficiency while supporting clinical leadership.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Clinic Operations:

  • Oversee daily outpatient clinic operations and patient flow
  • Coordinate clinician schedules and clinic activities
  • Ensure efficient appointment management and follow-up processes


Staff Coordination:

  • Supervise clinical staff and support teams
  • Coordinate attendance, duty rosters, and leave schedules
  • Liaise with HR on staffing needs and performance issues


Patient Experience:

  • Maintain a respectful, confidential, and patient-centred environment
  • Address patient feedback and service concerns professionally
  • Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality


Compliance & Administration:

  • Support HEFAMAA and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Maintain clinic documentation, SOPs, and operational records
  • Support inspections and audits 


Administrative & Financial Support:

  • Oversee clinic supplies and basic inventory
  • Coordinate with finance on billing support and reports
  • Track operational issues and flag inefficiencies


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Management, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in clinic operations, healthcare administration, or a similar operational role
  • Experience in mental-health or outpatient healthcare settings is an advantage
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Clear communication and people-management abilities
  • High professionalism, discretion, and reliability
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment


Work Structure:

  • Full-time role
  • Office-based in Lagos, Nigeria
  • Reports to executive leadership
