Job summary
We are looking for a reliable, organised and proactive Property/Housing Manager to oversee and manage several residential properties across different locations in Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining good tenant relationships, monitoring rent payments, coordinating property maintenance and ensuring that the properties are well managed. The ideal candidate should be responsible, detail-oriented, trustworthy and capable of managing multiple properties and tasks independently while providing regular updates to the property owner.

Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for tenants and respond promptly to their needs, enquiries and concerns.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with tenants.
- Monitor rent payments, send reminders and follow up on outstanding rent.
- Maintain accurate records of rent payments, tenant concerns and property-relatedexpenses.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure properties are clean, safe and well maintained.
- Liaise with cleaners and monitor their work to ensure that all properties are maintained to an acceptable standard.
- Identify maintenance issues, report them promptly and coordinate with relevant workers or contractors when repairs are required.
- Provide regular updates to the property owner regarding rent collection, maintenance, property conditions and tenant concerns.
- Assist with tenant move-ins, move-outs and property handovers when required.
- Monitor ongoing property-related tasks and ensure that issues are followed up until resolved.
- Maintain organised documentation and records relating to tenants, expenses, maintenance and property operations.
- Perform other reasonable property management and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in property management, housing management, estate management or a similar role.
- Must reside in Lagos and be familiar with different areas of the city.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Honest, responsible, organised and able to work independently.
- Ability to manage several properties, tenants and tasks simultaneously.
- Good record-keeping and basic computer skills.
- Must be willing and able to travel to properties in different locations across Lagos.
- Access to reliable transportation is an advantage.
- Strong follow-up, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Ability to provide clear and timely reports to the property owner.
