We’re Hiring: Technical Project Manager (EdTech) – Code Testing & QA Oversight
WiFiCombat Academy is seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager who will not only drive project execution but also actively support code testing validation and quality assurance processes. This role bridges development, QA, and instructional teams, ensuring that every product deliverable meets both technical and educational standards.
About the Role:
You will manage the full project lifecycle while remaining hands-on with testing oversight, bug tracking, and release coordination. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and curriculum teams to ensure features are well-defined, tested, and delivered efficiently. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who enjoys both coordination and practical QA involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery & Coordination:
- Define project scope, timelines, and priorities across platform features
- Run Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Track progress using tools like Jira, ClickUp, or Asana
- Provide clear updates on risks, blockers, and dependencies
- Collaborate with product and curriculum teams to refine requirements
Quality & Testing Oversight:
- Ensure all features meet acceptance criteria before release
- Validate key user flows (login, lessons, quizzes, video playback)
- Review test coverage to ensure critical paths are tested
- Coordinate testing cycles and track bugs to resolution
- Lead bug triage sessions with developers and QA teams
- Define and enforce practical release criteria
Working with Engineering:
- Collaborate with developers to ensure features are testable
- Review pull requests from a functional perspective
- Support basic build testing and validation when needed
- Maintain clear documentation (requirements, test cases, release notes)
Cross-Team Collaboration:
- Act as the bridge between engineering, product, and instructional teams
- Communicate technical feasibility to non-technical stakeholders
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) before releases
Technical Understanding (Practical):
- Basic understanding of frontend technologies (JavaScript, React)
- Familiarity with QA processes (manual testing, unit/integration concepts)
- Experience with project management tools (Jira, ClickUp, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of Git and pull request workflows
Experience:
- 3–5 years experience as a Technical Project Manager, Project Manager, QA Lead, or similar role
- Experience working with product and engineering teams on web or mobile applications
Nice to Have:
- Experience in EdTech or content-driven platforms
- Exposure to LMS or video-based learning platforms
- Familiarity with tools like Cypress or Jest (coordination level)
- Awareness of accessibility and performance standards
