Job Description: Project Manager – Digital Demand Generation (E-commerce)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager – Digital Demand Generation to drive e-commerce revenue growth through AI-led customer engagement, predictive demand generation, and data-driven execution. This role will own the end-to-end delivery of digital sales initiatives, working cross-functionally across Product, Marketing, Tech, Data, and Operations.
The ideal candidate understands how to convert digital engagement into measurable sales uplift using tools such as CleverTap, Insider, AI bot calling, AI chatbots, predictive engines, and embedded AI automation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Demand Generation & Digital Sales Ownership
- Build and implement digital demand generation strategies to drive Customer Monthly Value (CMV) and total sales.
- Develop end-to-end customer journeys using segmentation, prediction models, and automated nudges.
- Deploy demand triggers like Agentic AI for calling, chat, automated WhatsApp journeys, and personalized product recommendations.
- Use tools including CleverTap, UseInsider, in-house AI engines,Automated Agentic AI tool and and other market tools to drive conversion.
2. AI & Automation for Growth
- Identify opportunities to use AI/LLM/RAG tools to automate customer communication and improve conversion.
- Work with AI Automation Engineers to build:
- Predictive ordering recommendations
- Intelligent product nudges
- Auto-personalized reminders and reorder triggers
- Journey-based conversions for dormant or at-risk customers
3. Customer Analytics & Insight Generation
- Analyze customer behavior using data dashboards, SQL, and Python models.
- Identify drop-off points and deploy targeted actions to improve CTR, CVR, and retention.
- Build customer cohorts, lifecycle segmentation, and recommended product lists.
- Continuously measure ROI on campaigns and interventions.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong SQL skills for customer segmentation, funnel analytics, and cohort evaluation.
- Hands-on Python experience for:
- customer prediction models
- churn models
- product recommendation engines
- behavioural clustering
- Experience with customer engagement platforms: CleverTap, Insider, MoEngage, WebEngage (any is acceptable).
- Understanding of API-based AI integrations (bot calling, chatbot workflows, LLM/RAG-driven recommendations).
Leadership & Project Management
- Lead a multi-functional team consisting of:
- AI Automation Engineers
- Data Scientists
- Digital Engagement Specialists
- Manage project timelines, design requirement documents, and ensure successful rollout of new features.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams: Marketing, Tech, Operations, Sales, Data and Finance.
- Own delivery of digital demand-generation OKRs for the business.
Key KPIs
- Increase Customer Monthly Value (CMV) through Digital Automation and AI driven strategies
- Increase customer retention and reactivation rate through Digital Automation and AI driven strategies
- End-to-end delivery of demand generation initiatives
- Improvement in CTR, add-to-cart rate, conversion rate, reorder rate
- Revenue contribution from digital engagement and automation tools
Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of experience in e-commerce, digital growth, CRM, or AI-driven engagement.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to translate customer insights into executable digital interventions.
- Highly analytical, with deep understanding of e-commerce funnels and growth levers.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
