Project Manager
Job summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, execution and monitoring of the three-year project, ensuring that activities are delivered in line with approved objectives, timelines, budgets and expected outcomes. The role will coordinate internal project teams, work directly with Enterprise Support Organisations

Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project plans, work plans, schedules, milestones, and implementation activities.
- Coordinate project team members and provide day-to-day operational leadership.
- Work directly with ESOs and play a key role in monitoring their activities, performance and deliverables.
- Prepare and monitor project, implementation and monitoring budgets.
- Develop stakeholder management, stakeholder engagement and communication plans.
- Coordinate engagements with ESOs, institutions, Centres of Excellence and other project stakeholders.
- Provide regular project status updates and submit a comprehensive status report every weekend.
- Identify project risks, implementation gaps and delays and develop appropriate mitigation and corrective actions.
- Interpret project and performance data and translate findings into practical, actionable plans for management and implementation teams.
- Maintain proper project documentation, reports, risk registers, action trackers and decision records.
- Monitor project progress against agreed timelines, deliverables and performance expectations.
- Make appropriate operational decisions and escalate significant issues to the Project Director.
- Work closely with the M&E Lead and other relevant project leads.
- Travel to project locations when required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, with relevant management/project experience
- Demonstrable experience in project management, programme coordination, operations or a related management role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with working knowledge of collaboration/project-management platforms such as Slack, Trello and SharePoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and decision-making skills.
- Experience working with an incubation centre, innovation hub or Centre of Excellence is an advantage.
- Experience with ESOs, development programmes, donor-funded projects, enterprise development, technology or education projects is an advantage.
- PMP, PRINCE2 or other relevant project/management certification or skills is an added advantage.
- Strong project planning, execution, scheduling and coordination skills.
- Ability to interpret data, identify trends and convert findings into actionable plans.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-management skills.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and multiple project workstreams.
- Good understanding of budgeting, risk management, reporting and project documentation.
- Must be willing to travel when required.
