Responsibilities:

Oversee daily farm operations, including feeding, watering, and general care of poultry
Monitor bird health and coordinate with veterinarians when necessary
Implement and maintain strict biosecurity and hygiene standards
Supervise and train farm workers
Manage breeding, hatching, and production schedules
Ensure proper vaccination and medication programs
Monitor feed consumption and control costs
Maintain farm equipment and facilities
Keep accurate records of production, mortality, and expenses
Ensure compliance with government and agricultural regulations
Plan and implement strategies to improve productivity and profitability
Handle procurement of feed, equipment, and other farm supplies

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field (preferred)
Relevant certifications in poultry farming or livestock management are an added advantage
Minimum 2 years of experience in poultry farming or livestock management
Experience managing farm workers or teams
Strong knowledge of poultry production and health management
Leadership and team management skills
Problem-solving and decision-making ability
Basic financial and record-keeping skills
Knowledge of biosecurity and disease control practices
Ability to operate and maintain farm equipment
Good communication skills
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies
