Role Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly accomplished Project Director to lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale Digital Identity and Authentication Programme comprising multiple integrated systems, vendors, and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving programme execution, governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and delivery excellence while ensuring all milestones, contractual obligations, and business objectives are achieved. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong project management background and proven experience managing complex, large-scale technology transformation programmes.
Experience within public sector technology, digital identity, telecommunications, fintech, banking, or large-scale systems integration environments will be highly advantageous.
Qualifications
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale Digital Identity and Authentication Programme from mobilization through go-live.
- Develop and manage integrated programme plans, master schedules, and delivery roadmaps across all workstreams.
- Establish and oversee programme governance structures, steering committees, and executive reporting.
- Manage vendors, implementation partners, and senior stakeholders to ensure successful programme execution.
- Own programme scope, schedule, budget, quality assurance, and risk management activities.
- Drive issue resolution, dependency management, and resource coordination across multiple teams.
- Ensure contractual milestones, deliverables, and acceptance criteria are achieved.
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
- Monitor programme performance and ensure alignment with organizational and business objectives.
- Support change management, operational readiness, and transition-to-service activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years' experience delivering large-scale technology, systems integration, or digital transformation programmes.
- Proven project management expertise with PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, PgMP, or equivalent certification.
- Strong experience managing public sector projects and milestone-driven contracts.
- Demonstrated success managing executive stakeholders, vendors, and delivery partners.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-Have / Advantage
- Experience delivering Digital Identity, National Identity, Authentication, or e-Government programmes.
- Familiarity with population-scale technology platforms and digital identity ecosystems.
- Experience within telecommunications, fintech, banking, cybersecurity, or enterprise technology sectors.
- Knowledge of enterprise systems integration, cloud platforms, and digital infrastructure programmes.
- Experience working with multinational teams and complex multi-vendor environments.
- Exposure to Agile, Hybrid, or traditional programme delivery methodologies.
