Our client, a dynamic and impactful non-governmental organization (NGO) startup, is seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and results-driven Programs Lead to join their growing team. As a Programs Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success and sustainability of our client's initiatives by effectively managing programs.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of diverse programs, ensuring alignment with the NGO's mission and strategic goals.
  • Monitor program progress, identify potential challenges, and develop effective solutions to ensure successful delivery and measurable impact.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Prepare comprehensive program reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for program partners and beneficiaries.
  • Communicate the NGO's impact and needs effectively to a diverse audience.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic planning of the organization, particularly in areas of program development.
  • Stay abreast of trends in the NGO sector and program management best practices.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of proven experience in program management or a related role, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Proven expertise in grant writing and securing funding through compelling proposals aligned with donor goals while delivering program impact (required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with database management systems for program data.
  • Experience in research, data collection, and analysis to track program performance and improve outcomes.
  • Innovative, creative, and tech-savvy, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Access to constant electricity and a reliable internet connection.
  • Must have a personal laptop or desktop to perform tasks efficiently.
  • A passion for the NGO's mission and commitment to making a positive social impact.


Remuneration: NGN 160,000 monthly
