Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Implementation of the Strategic Plan:
- Operationalize the organization’s strategic plan, ensuring that its vision, priorities, and goals are effectively translated into programs and initiatives.
- Develop actionable work plans, timelines, and performance indicators to track progress.
- Identify challenges and proactively adjust implementation strategies as needed.
Program Development & Execution:
- Design and implement education-focused programs that align with the organization's mission and strategic objectives.
- Establish systems and processes for monitoring and evaluating program impact, ensuring continuous learning and improvement.
- Oversee day-to-day program activities, ensuring they are effectively executed and delivering measurable results.
Organizational Development & Infrastructure:
- Establish operational processes, including grant management, reporting structures, and internal workflows.
- Develop partnership models and frameworks for engaging key stakeholders in education and child development.
- Support the Executive Director in setting up the organization's internal capacity, including hiring and onboarding future staff.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Building:
- Cultivate strong relationships with local and international partners, government agencies, educators, and community leaders to advance program goals.
- Represent the organization in external meetings, conferences, and forums to build visibility and credibility.
Resource Mobilization & Grant Management:
- Support fundraising efforts by identifying funding opportunities and contributing to grant proposals.
- Manage budgets and funding allocations to ensure financial accountability and alignment with donor expectations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education, International Development, Nonprofit Management, Public Policy, Social work, Sociology or other related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in program management, nonprofit leadership, or education-focused initiatives.
- Proven ability to implement strategic plans and set up programs in a startup or early-stage organization.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Experience in building partnerships and engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of taking projects from concept to execution.
- Strong problem-solving, adaptability, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, resource-limited environments while maintaining a focus on long-term impact.
Location: Lekki, Lagos.
Remuneration NGN: 500,000-700,000 Monthly
