We are seeking to hire a program coordinator who will be the HOD/lecturer for public health to join our team.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
Academic Instruction and Curriculum Management
  • Delivering curriculum content related to health care, such as nursing, health studies, or public health.
  • Designing, reviewing, and updating course materials to reflect current health care practices, evidence-informed innovations, and accreditation requirements.
  • Developing and implementing assessment methods to track student progress and ensure learning objectives are met. 

Program Administration and Compliance:
  • Ensuring the program adheres to external accreditation standards (e.g., ACGME) and internal university regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate student records, tracking attendance, and monitoring progress from enrollment to graduation.
  • Implementing academic policies, managing student queries, and handling academic discipline or remediation plans.
  • Collecting and analyzing program data to inform decision-making, quality improvement projects, and corporate reporting. 

Clinical/Field Coordination:
  • Coordination: Organizing clinical rotations or practical training sessions with external healthcare facilities.
  • Acting as the main point of contact between the education institution and hospitals, clinics, or community partners to ensure safe and productive learning environments. 

Leadership and Mentorship:
  • Assisting with the onboarding, scheduling, and guidance of adjunct faculty or lecturers.
  • Advising students on academic progress, clinical performance, and career planning.
  • Fostering a professional and collaborative environment for students and junior staff. 

Operational Support:
  • Assisting with the preparation, tracking, and reconciliation of program budgets.
  • Coordinating program-specific events, such as orientation, graduation, or workshops.

Requirements:
  • Minimum HND.
  • provide a certified licence relivant to public health.
  • 2 years of previous experience in a similar role.
  • A registered member of health related body.


Remuneration: NGN 80,000 - 100,000
