Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and highly motivated Program Assistant to provide comprehensive support
to our Program Manager. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and creative individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about our mission. This role is integral to the success of our programs, involving a wide range of tasks from administrative to marketing, communications, and event coordination. Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
○ Design engaging graphics and visual assets for social media, newsletters, and program
materials.
○ Shoot and edit short-form videos for promotional and informational purposes.
○ Write compelling copy for our website, social media channels, and email campaigns.
Program Support:
○ Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of the Mentorship Program, SHINE
Farm Training, and Business Accelerator Program.
○ Provide logistical and administrative support for our annual SHINE Conference.
○ Facilitate and moderate training sessions, workshops, and online events.
Administrative & Data Management:
○ Perform accurate and timely data entry to maintain program records and track key
metrics.
○ Assist with general administrative tasks, including scheduling, correspondence, and
financial record-keeping as needed.
Event Planning:
○ Support the end-to-end planning and execution of virtual and in-person events, from
concept to post-event follow-up.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: A bachelor's degree from a recognized university is required.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience, preferably within the
non-profit sector.
NYSC: Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program is mandatory.
Demonstrated Competencies:
Graphic Design: Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
Video Editing: Experience with video editing software for creating short-form content.
Content Writing: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
Data Entry: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Event Management: Proven ability to assist in planning and executing successful events.
Facilitation: Confidence in public speaking and moderating discussions.
Compensation
The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
