Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Preparing a wide range of Nigerian dishes with authentic taste and presentation, including soups, stews, rice dishes, grilled items, and snacks.
- Strict adherence to hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Nigerian Cook in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of popular Nigerian dishes such as jollof rice, fried rice, egusi soup, ogbono soup, efo riro, pepper soup, and grilled fish/meat.
- Ability to prepare meals in large and small quantities while maintaining quality and taste.
- Good understanding of seasoning, spice balance, and local cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of ingredient sourcing and storage to maintain freshness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet service deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
