Product Officer

Responsibilities:
Product Development:

• Take ownership of assigned products and features throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Translate user and business needs into clear product requirements and specifications.
• Contribute directly to the planning, development, improvement, and implementation of product features.
• Identify product gaps, usability issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Document product requirements, workflows, features, and changes.

Technical Development:

• Write, maintain, and improve code to support product development and functionality.
• Use Python for relevant development, automation, data processing, API, and backend-related tasks.
• Work with APIs, databases, integrations, and other relevant technologies.
• Investigate and troubleshoot technical and product-related issues.
• Collaborate with other developers where required and contribute to technical discussions and implementation.
  

Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Test new features, updates, and product changes before deployment.
• Identify and document bugs, technical issues, and usability problems.
• Follow up on identified issues through to resolution.
• Conduct user testing and gather feedback to improve product functionality and user experience.
• Verify that implemented features meet the intended requirements.
  

Product Support & Improvement:

• Monitor product performance and user feedback.
• Support users with product-related issues and escalate technical problems where necessary.
• Identify recurring user challenges and recommend practical improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of bugs, feature requests, updates, and outstanding product tasks.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Lextorah's digital products.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in product development, software development, or a similar technical product role.
• Demonstrable experience contributing significantly to or owning the development of a digital product.
• Strong proficiency in Python is required.
• Ability to write, understand, test, and troubleshoot code.
• Experience working with APIs, databases, and software integrations.
• Understanding of software development and product development processes.
• Experience with testing and quality assurance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow tasks through to completion.
• Experience with AI, EdTech, SaaS, or other digital platforms is an advantage.
