Teacher

Responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in core subjects: English, Mathematics, Basic Science, Social Studies, Civic Education, etc.
• Follow the school curriculum and NERDC/ Lagos State syllabus
• Use a variety of teaching methods: play-based, activity-based, and tech-aided learning
• Prepare lesson notes, schemes of work, and teaching aids weekly

Classroom Management:

• Maintain a positive, disciplined, and organized classroom
• Ensure safety and welfare of all pupils during school hours
• Take attendance, monitor behavior, and handle minor first aid

Assessment & Reporting:

• Set and mark tests, assignments, and continuous assessment
• Track pupil progress and keep accurate records
• Prepare termly report cards and communicate with parents during PTA/Report-card day

School Duties:

• Supervise pupils during break, assembly, and extracurricular activities
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school events
• Contribute to school decoration, clubs, and inter-house sports

Parent & Community Engagement:

• Communicate regularly with parents on pupil performance and behavior
• Attend parent-teacher meetings

Requirements:

• Minimum of an NCE
• 1-2 years of teaching experience in a primary school preferred
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Patience, creativity, and love for children
