About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plumbing Instructor to deliver practical, hands-on training aligned with Nigeria’s National Occupational Standards for Construction and Building Trades. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of plumbing professionals in a structured technical training environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Plumbing Instructor, you will combine deep trade expertise with instructional ability to run a well-organized, safe, and productive workshop. Your responsibilities will span two core areas:

Training

•
Deliver practical instruction covering blueprint interpretation, pipe layout, fixture installation, drainage systems, and plumbing materials

•
Teach the use of tools including saws, pipe cutters, and specialized plumbing equipment

•
Guide trainees through HVAC basics, including heating and air-conditioning systems and water heaters

•
Conduct plumbing system diagnostics — leak testing, fault analysis, and component replacement

•
Oversee daily workshop preparation, arrangement, and operations

•
Collaborate with contractors and other technical staff on installation and repair projects

•
Ensure all training adheres to health, safety, and building code standards

Maintenance

•
Maintain the security and condition of tools, equipment, and materials in the training area

•
Coordinate equipment servicing in line with manufacturer maintenance schedules

•
Requisition course materials, tools, and non-capital equipment as needed

•
Handle school hostel plumbing repairs and troubleshooting when required

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of HND/ B.SC in Mechanical Engineering or a recognized certificate in technical/vocational education

•
Minimum of 4 years proven hands-on experience in the construction/plumbing industry

•
Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset

•
Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills

•
Solid time-management, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities

•
Reliable troubleshooting skills with a practical, solution-oriented approach
