Responsibilities:
Core Teaching and Instruction:
- Lesson planning: Design safe, structured physical education curricula matching school standards.
- Skill development: Teach fundamental motor skills like running and jumping alongside sport-specific techniques.
- Health education: Instruct students on nutrition, personal hygiene, and the long-term benefits of exercise.
Supervision and Safety:
- Class management: Oversee practical indoor and outdoor activities while minimizing injury risks.
- Inclusion: Adapt games and physical tasks so students of all physical abilities can participate safely.
- Environment maintenance: Keep sports equipment, fields, and gym spaces organized and hazard-free.
Coaching and Extracurriculars:
- Team training: Coach school athletics and prepare students for interscholastic competitions.
- Event organization: Run sports days, intramural matches, and fitness clubs.
Assessment and Communication:
- Progress tracking: Evaluate physical fitness improvements and grade practical or theoretical work.
- Parent engagement: Report student development during parent-teacher conferences and school meetings.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of NCE.
- No experince/ less than 1 year of previous experience in a similar role.
Remuneration: NGN 70,000
