StreetKids Matter is seeking a patient and enthusiastic Phonics and Early Years Teacher to support our nursery children and improve phonics, listening, pronunciation, spoken English, and early literacy across the home. The role is based in Ikorodu, Lagos, and accommodation can be provided if required.

Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Teach phonics systematically to nursery and other children who require support.
- Help children recognise letter sounds, blend sounds, decode words, and develop early reading skills.
- Support children with pronunciation, articulation, vocabulary, listening, and spoken English.
- Identify children with gaps in foundational literacy and provide appropriate additional support.
- Help nursery children develop early literacy, communication, numeracy, and school readiness skills.
- Use songs, stories, games, reading activities, and practical exercises to make learning engaging.
- Monitor each child's progress and maintain simple learning records.
- Develop individual support plans where children have significant learning gaps.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of NCE.
- 1 years of previous experience in a similar role.
