Pharmacy Trainee
Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Trainee to join our pharmacy team. This role is ideal for a recent pharmacy graduate or intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience in dispensing, patient counseling, and pharmacy operations under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed pharmacists in dispensing prescription and over-the-counter medications.
- Provide basic counseling to customers on drug use and general wellness under supervision.
- Support inventory management, stock arrangement, and monitoring of expiry dates.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records and ensuring proper documentation.
- Learn and adhere to PCN regulations and standard pharmacy practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
- Provide excellent customer service and support daily pharmacy operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognized university.
- Recently completed or currently undergoing internship or NYSC is acceptable.
- Interest in community or hospital pharmacy practice.
- Basic knowledge of common drugs and their uses.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a high level of integrity.
- Must reside in Lagos or be willing to relocate.
