Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities:

• Receive and process prescription orders from customers or health professionals.
• Measure, weigh, count, label, and package medications according to the prescription.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of the prescription information and data entry.
• Answer phone calls and provide information or assistance to customers or health professionals.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues in a courteous and professional manner.
• Perform inventory control tasks such as ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of medications and supplies.
• Comply with all pharmacy policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.
• Participate in continuing education and training programs to update knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience
• Completion of a pharmacy technician certification program or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of pharmacy terminologies, calculations, and procedures.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure and with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
• Attention to details, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility and availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  

Working Conditions:

• The pharmacy technician will work full-time during the pharmacy hours.
• He/She would be responsible for handling and dispensing medications in a pharmacy setting.
• The pharmacy technician will work closely with the pharmacist and other pharmacy staff and will be required to interact with customers or health professionals.

Remuneration: NGN 50,000 - 100,000 Monthly
