Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role located in Lagos State, Nigeria. The Pharmacist will dispense medications accurately, provide counseling on proper use, potential side effects, and drug interactions, and ensure prescriptions comply with regulatory and safety standards. Daily tasks include reviewing prescriptions, maintaining accurate patient medication records, managing inventory for pharmaceuticals and related products, and monitoring stock levels and expiry dates. The Pharmacist will collaborate with other team members to deliver excellent customer service, support patient education initiatives, and promote the ethical and professional standards of the pharmacy. The role also involves contributing to quality improvement, adherence to standard operating procedures, and support for mother-and-baby and personal care product selections where clinical input is required.
Qualifications

  • Strong clinical pharmacy skills, including prescription review, medication dispensing, and patient counseling on drug use, interactions, and side effects.
  • Competence in pharmaceutical care, medication therapy management, and adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
  • Ability to manage inventory and storage conditions for medicines, including stock rotation, expiry monitoring, and documentation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging patients, caregivers, and team members in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures reliably.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, integrity, accountability, and teamwork in a high-demand community pharmacy setting.
  • Recognized degree in Pharmacy (e.g., B.Pharm or Pharm.D) and current registration/licensure with the appropriate pharmacy regulatory body in Nigeria.
  • Previous experience in a community or retail pharmacy is an advantage; familiarity with cosmetics and personal care product counseling is beneficial.
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with pharmacy software or point-of-sale systems.
