Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, dispensing, and labeling of medications.
- Provide accurate and appropriate information to patients about medications, including dosage, side effects, and proper storage.
- Ensure all prescriptions are reviewed for accuracy, validity, and potential drug interactions under pharmacist supervision.
- Support inventory management by receiving, organizing, and monitoring stock levels.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy work area.
- Participate in prescription audits, documentation, and regulatory compliance processes.
- Assist in compiling reports and maintaining patient medication records.
- Learn and adhere to standard operating procedures, pharmacy laws, and ethical standards.
- Provide customer service and handle inquiries in a professional manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree or HND from an accredited institution.
- Strong interest in patient care and pharmaceutical services.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical software is an advantage.
