Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated, proactive, and experienced Pharmacist to join our growing retail pharmacy team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring safe, effective, and compliant pharmaceutical care delivery to patients while maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards as required by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria PCN

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications in accordance with regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Conduct thorough patient counselling on medication use, dosage, side effects, and interactions to promote safe and effective therapy.
  • Review and, when necessary, clarify or cancel erroneous prescriptions in collaboration with prescribers to ensure patient safety.
  • Maintain full compliance with PCN, NAFDAC, and other regulatory authorities governing pharmacy operations.
  • Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations and compliance with pharmacy standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of controlled drugs, prescription files, and inventory.
  • Support inventory management through timely stock ordering, verification, and reconciliation to prevent shortages or wastage.
  • Participate actively in health education, patient follow-up, and medication therapy reviews to improve patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and sales acumen by recommending appropriate products and promoting a positive client experience.
  • Uphold the ethical, professional, and safety standards of the pharmacy while fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from an accredited institution.
  • Current license with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
  • Minimum of 2–3 years post-NYSC experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical laws, ethics, and patient-centred care.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy management software and inventory systems.
  • Customer-focused, sales-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare.
