Seeking a competent and motivated Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations. Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the pharmacist in accurately preparing, dispensing, and labelling prescription and non-prescription medications.
  • Support patient counselling and education under the supervision of the pharmacist, ensuring patients understand how to use their medications correctly.
  • Help maintain organised inventory and stock control, including monitoring expiry dates, restocking shelves, and reconciling supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with PCN, NAFDAC, and other regulatory authorities, maintaining proper documentation and safety standards.
  • Accurately record and update prescription data, sales, and transaction details in the pharmacy system.
  • Support daily administrative tasks such as processing prescriptions, managing invoices, and organising patient files.
  • Assist in promoting pharmacy products and providing a positive customer experience.
  • Adhere strictly to confidentiality and ethical standards in all pharmacy operations.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely patient service delivery.
  • Uphold a clean, professional, and safe work environment.

Requirements:
  • Certificate or National Diploma in Pharmacy Technician from an accredited institution.
  • Must be licensed by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
  • Good understanding of prescription handling, medication storage, and basic drug information.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organisational skills.
  • Basic proficiency in pharmacy software and inventory management systems.
  • Dependable, ethical, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
