Personal Bodyguard

Responsibilities:

• Acting as a liaison between the client and the client’s family, business associates, or other personal contacts
• Providing security for high-profile individuals on a 24/7 basis, including during social events or business trips
• Conducting surveillance of client’s home and work environments to identify potential threats and develop security plans for addressing them
• Conducting security checks at entrances to buildings or other sites to ensure that only authorized individuals are admitted
• Escorting clients to public events such as fundraisers or award ceremonies where security may be heightened due to the presence of high-profile individuals
• Acting as a physical barrier between the client and potential threats such as protesters or aggressive members of the media
• Coordinating with local law enforcement agencies to ensure that security plans are followed and that any incidents are dealt with appropriately
• Providing security at a client’s home by monitoring alarms and surveillance equipment and responding to any alerts or emergencies
• Conducting background checks on clients to ensure that they do not pose a threat to the client’s safety.

Requirements:

• Minimum academic qualification of a high school diploma, or perhaps a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management or another similar field.
• Agile and energetic
• Good health and body building
• Vigilant and pro-active

Training & Experience:

• Personal bodyguards typically receive on-the-job training from their employer.
• This training may include instruction on the client’s daily routine, preferred modes of transportation and preferred routes.
• The bodyguard may also learn about the client’s family members and any special needs they may have.
• The bodyguard may also receive instruction on the client’s preferred methods of protection, such as firearms or self-defense.
