Job summary
The Personal Assistant to the Commander-General runs time, access, information, follow-through, and execution. If the PA fails, the organisation bleeds opportunities. This role exists to protect focus, enforce structure, and convert vision into daily action. You are managing the life and command bandwidth of a man running a growing security institution. If you cannot organise chaos, enforce boundaries, and think two steps ahead, do not apply. Please note that this is not a secretary role. This is not a “nice person” role. Responsibilities:
- Command & Time Control: Own the Commander-General’s calendar end-to-end. No double bookings. No surprises. Prioritise meetings based on blocking distractions aggressively. Access is earned, not assumed. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly schedules with intent.
- Execution & Follow-Through: Track decisions, directives, and action items issued by the Commander-General.Ensure departments and individuals execute on time. Follow up without being reminded. Maintain a live task and priority system.
- Strategic Gatekeeping: Serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) with the discipline. Missed opportunities are unacceptable. Filter noise. Escalate only what matters. Maintain professional distance, no over-familiarity with staff, trainees, or external parties.
- Information & Documentation Control: Manage sensitive information with discretion. Prepare briefs, summaries, and talking points. Organise documents, contacts, and correspondence. Maintain clarity. Disorganisation is failure.
- Personal & Operational Support: Anticipate needs before they are spoken. Support travel, meetings, briefings, and operational logistics. Protect the Commander-General’s energy and decision-making capacity.
