Pastry Chef/Baker
Job summary
We're a newly opened restaurant in Surulere. We're seeking the immediate employment of a skilled Pastry Chef/Baker. The Pastry Chef/Baker will oversee the entire pastry department of the restaurant and be responsible for preparing, baking, and decorating a wide range of pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts.

Responsibilities:
- Conceptualise and test new pastries, desserts, breads, and confections.
- Lead and supervise the pastry department and team
- Prepare and bake cakes, pastries, cookies, breads, and other desserts.
- Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
- Decorate cakes and desserts neatly and creatively.
- Ensure all baked products meet quality and presentation standards.
- Manage baking schedules to ensure timely production.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and inform management when supplies are low.
- Enforce cost control by minimising food waste, optimising recipe yields, and managing food costs.
- Strict adherence to the highest food hygiene, cleanliness, health, and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE Certificate.
- 2 years plus experience in a bakery or pastry shop.
- Knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
- Creativity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
